During quarantine, 10 out of 58 surveyed students from the SCDS high school have adopted new pets. Here are short stories from six of them about their animals. They’ve been adopted from the Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA), breeders and ads on Craigslist. Everyone took proper safety precautions like wearing masks and keeping distance when adopting their pet.
