For the fourth consecutive year, senior Heidi Johnson competed in the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters track and field meet.
Johnson placed eighth in the triple jump at 36 feet, 11¼ inches, a personal best, at Davis Senior High School on May 17-18. However, she failed to qualify for the California Interscholastic Federation State Championships at Buchanan High School in Clovis on May 30.
Nonetheless, Johnson said she was happy to end the season “with solid jumps, a personal best and no injuries.
“I felt like I ended the season giving everything I had.”
