Inside info from sophomore Nate Jakobs: “The last game was the best (Faith Christian on May 8) because we played a good all-around game, and it had some drama at the end. It went back and forth all game until I hit a grand slam in the top of the sixth inning, putting us up 10-8. We were down 6-8 (before the grand slam). We pulled out a 14-12 victory with everyone contributing on offense as the game went on.”
Additional info from Jakobs: “Our biggest strength was that people could adapt. Many guys that didn’t have a lot of baseball experience before this season filled big roles and key positions on the team, including (freshmen) Aaron Graves and Jackson Crawford, (senior) Aidan Cunningham and many more.”
