In the week leading up to the Jan. 10 winter homecoming games, students dressed up according to themed spirit days: pajama day, twin day, jersey day, dress-as-your-adviser day (an advisory competition) and black-and-red day. During the Jan. 10 pep rally, seniors Yumi Moon and Emma Boersma awarded math teacher Patricia Jacobsen’s advisory the trophy for the dress-as-your-adviser competition.
Junior Ashwin Rohatgi, the Run to Feed the Hungry student team leader, also announced that Country Day earned the title of top fundraising team. The $7,015.75 raised by the SCDS team will translate to $70,157.50 worth of goods and services provided by the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.
