Date: March 17

Score: 3-7 (Cavs’ loss)

Stat leaders (per Game Changer): Sophomores Jack Christian and Nate Jakobs combined for three RBIs. Christian had a single and a double, and senior Aidan Cunningham and Jakobs each had a triple.

Opponent: Leroy Greene Academy Lions (3-1)

Fun fact: The boys are 0-3 this year against teams with a lion as their mascot.

Post-game reflection per Jakobs: “(The Lions) had a lot of hits that found holes. They played better defense, which is what the game came down to.”

Things to work on per senior Emil Erickson: “We need to practice our batting more and polish our defense.”

Next game: Rematch against the Leroy Greene Academy Lions on Monday, March 20, at 4 p.m. at McAuliffe Baseball Complex
