Inside info from Johnson: “We outmatched our opponents in almost every way. We were physically in better condition because of preseason training (that) some of us took part in. Also, we had more ball players.”

Player of the game (per coach Dave Ancrum): “Fan (because of) good defense and his ability to shoot from (a) distance. He did a great job of rebounding from the guard spot.”
