Each November brings two things: first-quarter report cards and Rockvemberfest festivities. In lieu of having a school day on Nov. 6, students did everything from participating in a lip-sync battle for gift cards to playing board games in the library. The winners of the $25, $50 and $100 gift cards were freshman Kenyatta Dumisani, junior Brandy Riziki and history teacher Sue Nellis’s advisory, respectively. Only five groups participated in the annual lip-sync contest, which was judged by English teachers Jane Bauman, Jason Hinojosa and Patricia Fels as well as senior Cameron Morgade-Collins.
