After successful start, baseball team loses momentum, defeated by Buckingham Charter

Date: April 25

Opponent: Buckingham Charter Magnet High School

Final Score: 3-13 (Cavs’ loss)

Inside info (per junior Jack Christian): We started off the game great. We were all making plays and we held Buckingham 1-2. Everyone was swinging the bats as well, which was great.

However, as the game progressed, we began to make some very simple errors like we have been in the past couple of games. This caused us to give up a lot of runs very quickly, which eventually led to us losing the game.

Inside info (per sophomore Aaron Graves): Jack did a really good job pitching last game. He made it so that the game was close for the majority of the innings.

I’m looking forward to playing on our home field (Sacramento State) next game. The fields at Sac State are super nice and easier to play on.

Next game: Monday, April 30, at 3 p.m. at McAuliffe Memorial Park against Leroy Greene Academy.
