Boys’ basketball hammers Buckingham despite temporarily losing injured player

Inside info from Crawford: “In the second half our ball movement was better, and (Johnson) was very aggressive. It opened everything up for us. Also our defense got better once (Fan) came back into the game in the second half. We got a lot of fast break points off of steals.”

Additional info: A player for the Knight’s elbowed Fan near his eye during the second quarter, and Fan was bleeding. Fan didn’t play for the rest of the second quarter, but he returned for the second half.

Next game: Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Valley Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. against Valley Christian (4-1). Both the Cavs and the Valley Christian Lions have been defeated by Sacramento Adventist, and are currently tied for second place in the SMAL league. The winner of this game will rank second, behind Sacramento Adventist.
