Date: Feb. 2

Opponent: Div. V Valley Christian High School

Location: Valley Christian

Score: 14-46

Quarter 1: 4-19

Quarter 2: 4-31

Quarter 3: 6-43

Leading Scorers: freshmen Chloé Collinwood (8) and Bella Mathisen (6)

Inside info from sophomore Nina Dym: “We really need to work on making our shots and passing better, since tonight we were not making smart passes so they were intercepted many times. To prepare for our next game, I assume we will work on a lot of shooting and practicing our plays so we are more prepared and not confused in the future.”

Coach’s comment: “I was very proud of our team in the sense that we didn’t give up and picked up our intensity during the final quarter; however, we need to work on moving our feet, so as not to cause as many unnecessary fouls,” coach Latonia Pitts said.

Player of the game (per Pitts): Collinwood for great play during the fourth quarter, especially when her shots started landing and she went on a 6-point shooting spree.

Next game: Friday, Feb. 5, at 3:30 p.m. against Sacramento Waldorf
