Inside info from sophomore player Cole Johnson: “We played average, but we were really in a slump early in the game.” Sophomore B.J. Askew fouled out in the fourth quarter.

Inside info from Barros: “A couple of our players were hurt, so we were under-manned. Rebounding killed us throughout the game.”

Injuries: Johnson bruised his hip bone when a Desert Pines player knocked into him when he was about to score. McCain played with an injury (bruised ribs).

Player of the game (per coach David Ancrum): “Barros for his decision-making and overall effort.”

Unavailable players: Junior Adam Dean (sprained ankle)

Next game: Dec. 28 against Pinnacle High School or Dawson High School. Location will be announced on Dec. 27.
