The ski and snowboard team sent four participants to Boreal on Friday, Jan. 9.
Senior Ethan Ham finished seventh of 19 racing snowboarders. Ham was aiming for a top-10 finish before the race.
“For my first time out there this winter, I did well,” Ham said.
Junior Amelia Fineberg finished seventh of 12 skiers.
Sophomore Daniel Hernried placed sixth of 20 skiers. This was two spots higher than his best placement last season.
Sophomore Aidan Cunningham was 16th of 19 snowboarders. Cunningham also achieved his highest placement ever at a race.
“I’m getting better every time I go,” Cunningham said. “And it’s starting to show.”
The team next races at Northstar on Friday, Jan. 23.
