The girls’ basketball team lost 30-37 to Wilton Christian, Jan. 13.
Even though the Cavs didn’t have any subs, they still managed to put up a strong fight against the Patriots.
To prevent the Cavs from getting too tired, coach Matt Vargo told the girls before the match that they could shoot as much as they wanted as long as they were open.
This really lifted some pressure off the girls, junior Julia Owaidat said.
“This was one of those games where everyone felt the need to step it up and push their abilities to get the (win),” Owaidat said.
The girls’ next match is the Homecoming game on Friday, Jan. 16, against Faith Christian at 6 p.m.
On average, the Cavs score 35 points per game, whereas the Faith Christian Lions score 21.
