The boys’ soccer team beat Freedom Christian, 5-1, on Oct. 21.
Seniors Ethan Ham, Erik Morfin-Ruiz, and Dominic Stephen, sophomore Christian Van Vleck and freshman B.J. Askew each scored a goal.
The boys played with 10 players, as opposed to the regular 11 on the field. This is because Freedom had only 10 available players.
“(Playing with 10) created more room for us to run,” sophomore Emil Erickson said. “And we like to run, so in a way it was advantageous.”
The team played without starter senior Keegan Crain, who injured his ankle during the team’s 0-0 tie against Cristo Rey on Oct. 17. Crain will be unable to play for a minimum of two weeks.
The boys’ next game will be on Friday, Oct. 24, at home against Faith Christian.
