The boys’ soccer team beat Faith Christian, 5-0, on the road today.
Goals were scored by freshmen B.J. Askew and Jayce McCain, along with a hat trick for senior Ethan Ham.
This also marked the first so-called “clean sheet” for the team (no goals scored by the opposing team) this year.
However, captains Ham and Erik Morfin-Ruiz believe that this doesn’t necessarily represent a defensive breakthrough, as they believe that Faith Christian “(doesn’t) have a very strong team,” though they think that the Cavs did play a good game.
Ham said that Faith Christian may have lost a lot of good players that they had last year, making them less of a challenge.
The team next plays Tuesday, Oct. 7, at SCDS at 4 p.m. against Western Sierra.
