Girls’ varsity volleyball team beats San Juan High, 3-0

“I’ve never played this team,” said coach Jason Kreps before the varsity volleyball team’s match against San Juan High School. “(But) I think we’ll do just fine.”

Kreps was right. The varsity volleyball team won 3-0 on Sept. 15.

In the first set, SCDS won 25-11.

In the second set, SCDS won again with a score of 25-6.

In the final set, SCDS won 25-13.

This year, all junior varsity players have been required to attend the varsity games to help referee and support the volleyball program.

“It’s fun to watch them (the players),” freshman Nicole Moxon said. “You learn a lot more.”

Varsity’s next game will be against Buckingham High School at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Vaca Pena Middle School.
