Soccer team loses to Faith, will play Lutheran on Friday

The soccer team lost, 5-2, in an away game against Faith Christian, Oct. 22.

Senior Eric Hilton and junior Ethan Ham each scored goals.

Both players attributed the loss to weak defense.

“We dominated the game, but they got easy breakaways down the left field,” Hilton said.

“There were many mistakes on the defensive side,” Ham said. “(Faith Christian) would capitalize off our mistakes and score.

“We can beat (Faith Christian); we just can’t make these silly mistakes.”

Freshman Austin Talamantes agreed and also pointed out problems such as miscommunication and missed goals.

The Cavs are 5-2-2, with both losses and a tie against Faith. The Cavs will play Faith again later this month.

Meanwhile the Cavs will play Lutheran, whom they previously crushed, 9-2, on Friday, Oct. 26.
