The varsity volleyball team was defeated by the Foresthill Wildfires in four sets, Sept. 3.

The Cavs lost the first two sets, rallied back for the third, but lost the fourth.

“We were shanking the ball and weren’t talking,” said Sydney Jackson, the only senior on the team. “I mean, the scores were close, but we didn’t deserve to win at this point. We were just messing up all over.”

However, Jackson thinks the team will improve.

“The team is actually really good, and you wouldn’t expect it coming from the youngest varsity team at Country Day,” she said.

“We are just getting used to working as a unit.”

The Cavs play Sacramento Waldorf School at home on Thursday, Sept 5.
