While most high school students were spending April 13 getting ready for prom, the high school band, orchestra and choir students were taking home the gold at the Forum Music Festival at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo.
The chamber orchestra, combined high school and middle school orchestra, combined concert band, high school jazz band and combined choir received gold ratings. The middle school jazz band received silver.
In addition, four students received individual awards: senior Chardonnay Needler for chamber orchestra and combined orchestra, eighth grader Anna Wilson for combined concert band and middle school jazz band, sophomore Allie Bogetich for high school jazz band, and senior Chloé Collinwood for combined choir.
