Only four students in high school play

This semester’s high school play, which has only four actors, will be memorable, drama director Brian Frishman said.

The play, “Time Stands Still” by Donald Margulies, is set in Brooklyn and revolves around Sarah, played by senior Monique Lonergan. Sarah is a photojournalist who has returned from covering the Iraq War after being injured by a roadside bomb, according to Wikipedia. After her return, Sarah’s reporter boyfriend, James (junior Aaron Graves), is overwhelmed by guilt after leaving Sarah alone in Iraq. Later, they receive a visit from their friend Richard (sophomore Avi Krishna), a photo editor, and his new girlfriend, Mandy (senior Brandy Riziki). The play focuses on the two relationships and Sarah and James’ prospects at a more conventional life.

Frishman said he chose “Time Stands Still” because it is a “great play that fit with the availability and ability of the people participating, and the play fits with the number of people participating.”

The play will be held on Thursday, April 11, and Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m. in the MP room. Admittance is free.
