Prom will be held on a train from 8:30-11:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23.

The Sacramento River Train departs from 400 North Harbor Blvd. in West Sacramento and will travel to Woodland and back.

Student Council recommends that students arrive at 8:15 p.m., so they can board on time. Once on the train, there will be no de-boarding at any time until the end.

Tom Wroten, director of technology, will be available to take pictures from 7:30-8:20 p.m.

“I think it’s going to be really awesome!” said junior Avi Bhullar, chair of events coordinator. “Prom this year is on a party train!”

Prom was last held on a train in 2012.

According to Bhullar, the seniors wanted Prom on the train, so “we made it happen.”

The cost is $60. Tickets must be purchased by Thursday, April 21, at 4 p.m. Tickets cannot be purchased Friday or at the door on Saturday.

One outside guest may be signed up with dean of students Patricia Jacobsen in room 1 by Thursday, April 21, at 4 p.m.
