Members of the class of 2015 will return for lunch with the seniors and the annual alumni panel, where they will discuss their college experience thus far.

Welcome back, Class of 2015! Freshman panel to be held Jan. 7; 14th annual alumni reunion, Dec. 23

For the first time the college freshman panel will be on a Thursday – the first one after Winter Break,  Jan. 7.

The move is because more students from the class of ‘15 could attend in January than in December.

“When I polled the class of  ‘15, I got a number of students that couldn’t attend before Winter Break,” college counselor Jane Bauman said. “I have nine students so far who have told me they are coming in January.”

A lot of college semesters end on Friday, Dec. 18, the same day that Country Day’s vacation begins. According to Bauman, the change is most likely due to Christmas being on a Friday instead of the middle of the week, so schools are releasing their students later.

As per tradition, the freshmen will also eat lunch with the seniors before the panel starts at elective.

The 14th annual reunion event for faculty, alumni and alumni parents will be Wednesday, Dec. 23. There are expected to be 100 attendees, said Amy Wells, alumni director and development coordinator.

It will be held at Piatti Italian Restaurant and Bar (in Pavilions shopping center) from 4:30-7 p.m. The class of ‘05 will also be holding its 10-year reunion right after the mixer.
