The senior class of Waldorf High School has invited SCDS to their Yule Ball on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 8-11 p.m. at Rudolf Steiner College on the Waldorf campus.
The ball is Harry Potter-themed and semi-formal.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from Student Council members in the quad.
Profits will go towards Waldorf sending one of their students to work in a developing country for a community organization.
Last year Waldorf invited high schoolers to their Halloween dance, and SCDS has invited Waldorf to Homecoming last year..
Seniors Claire Pinson and Melissa Vazquez went to the Waldorf Halloween dance last year.
“We dressed up and so did other people,” Vazquez said. “It was the same size as our school dances, but we were the only SCDS students.
“It would have been a better dance if more SCDS students went because it was weird for us to have to talk to a bunch of people that knew each other.”
“We’ve always had a relationship with them,” Patricia Jacobsen, dean of student life, said. “Both schools have similar groups of kids, so it’s a good fit.”
