School canceled on Thursday, Dec. 11, due to storm

Due to the storm that is predicted to hit Sacramento on the night of Dec. 10, school has been canceled for Thursday, Dec. 11.

Headmaster Stephen Repsher announced the decision in a schoolwide email sent at 5:50 p.m. on Dec. 10.

The email also said that school may be canceled again on Friday, depending on traveling conditions.

According to the Sacramento Bee, there could be up to six inches of rain between Wednesday and Friday. In addition, winds up to 60 mph are predicted.

Because of the upcoming storms, both the high-school play and the trustees’ holiday party for faculty and staff have been postponed.

The play will now be performed Friday, Dec. 12, and Monday, Dec. 15.

The party, originally scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 11, has been pushed back to Tuesday, Dec. 16.

A lower-school cookie exchange, which would have taken place Friday, Dec. 12, has been canceled.

Parents will be notified by 6 a.m. Friday at the latest about the status of school for Friday.
