The 2014 talent show took place on April 18 after being pushed back four weeks. The 10 acts, which included musical and comical performances, included both students and teachers. The Student Council added two extra features to the show. First, students who sat on chairs with randomly marked stickers were surprised with either gift cards or memorabilia from the school’s 50th-anniversary campaign. Second, Student Council hid Easter eggs in the high-school quad in honor of the upcoming holiday. After the talent show, students hunted for the eggs, which contained candy as well as homework passes and extra-credit points from different teachers. Student Council treasurer Savannah Symister said the purpose of the two new features was to make the talent show more fun and exciting.
