POI: Midtown show features student art

For the first time the high school’s Art Studio and Ceramics electives are putting on their own show.

The event (held upstairs at the Arthouse, 10th and R Streets in Midtown)  opened on Jan. 10 and will continue through Saturday, Feb. 2.

More than 35 students created the paintings, drawings, mixed media works and clay sculptures, which sell for prices from $10 to $1,000.

“It is wonderful to have all of the space that the work can be presented in that allows people to roam,” art teacher Patricia Kelly said.
